Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) - Alerting Systems Test 4/2/2026

The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) announced a coordinated statewide TEST of local alerting systems to evaluate effectiveness and functionality of these public warning tools.
This TEST is happening Thursday, April 2, 2026, between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
You may receive alerts from various agencies where you live or work that day.
WARN will alert on email/text if you are registered with WARN of Central Texas. Go to WarnCentralTexas.org to register or make sure your information is up to date. Make sure emergency alerts are turned “on” on your mobile device. Some areas in Travis County may hear sirens.
THIS EVENT IS ONLY A TEST.
