Animal Control News:

Dogs are now required to be registered if they reside in Point Venture.

There is now a leash law in effect in Point Venture.

Ed Stuart is our animal control officer in Point Venture.

Roger Stroms is our assistant animal control officer in Point Venture.

The telephone number to call to register a dog is (512) 632-7577 (Ed's cell phone number) or (512) 587-7235 (Roger's cell phone number)

To report a dog running at large you can call the same number.

Low-Cost and Free Veterinary Services (updated 3/18/2008)

EmanciPet
EmanciPet Mobile Clinic comes to the Lago Vista area every other month. They provide low-cost spay/neuter services for dogs and cats. You can also get your pet vaccinated when you get it spayed/neutered. For more information about their services, please visit their website (www.emancipet.org).  Austin Humane Society
The Austin Humane Society has a free spay/neuter program for stray and feral cats. This program does NOT include dogs. Please contact Leticia Stivers at 512/968-7131 or lstivers@austinhumanesociety.org to learn more about this free program for cats.

 Animal Trustees of Austin
Animal Trustees of Austin has a low-cost spay/neuter clinic and a low-cost wellness clinic. They are located at 51st Street and Cameron Road in Austin.  Humane Society of Williamson County
The Humane Society of Williamson County is located on Crystal Falls Parkway (also known as County Road 272) in Leander. They offer low-cost spay/neuter services, as well as a low-cost vaccination and microchip clinic the fourth Saturday of every month (1-4 PM). To learn more about their services, please visit their website (www.hswc.net). No appointment is necessary for the vaccination/microchip clinics.
